A Little Something Different: Family Photography

The Little Bits Blog - Family and Newborn Photography

You know when one thing leads to another and suddenly you’ve landed yourself in a happy accident? This is exactly what happened to me a few weeks ago. I can’t quite recall who or how it was brought up but we were spending some time with our friends Molly and Nathan, anticipating the arrival of their second daughter. I threw out the idea of taking some newborn photos to the then 9 month pregnant Molly and she luckily agreed.

I figured it would be fun since I don’t generally ever photograph babies or kids much, and I am happy to say it was such a wonderful experience. We kept it laid back and casual, just hung around the house and backyard. We didn’t originally plan for it but ended up taking photos on 3 separate occasions over the course of a few weeks, because lets face it: babies can be fussy and its much easier to just work on their schedule. This week I’m rounding up a few of my favorite photos from our sessions. Though I’m nowhere near claiming to be a professional, I am really hoping to explore down this photography path more in the future. Let me know what you think!

And without further ado, allow me to introduce little miss Margot ♥
